Attempted Phone Scam Recently the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department has received reports that someone claiming to be from the sheriff’s department has been calling asking for donations. The caller information shown on caller ID is “out of area” or “unavailable”. The sheriff’s department does not conduct phone solicitations in any form. If you receive a call from someone claiming to be from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department asking for a donation, this is an attempted fraud.
