Chief Deputy - Blaine Lauersdorf

Chief Deputy Blaine Lauersdorf is second in command for the Dodge County Sheriff's Department. The Dodge county sheriffs department has a $17,000,000 annual budget and 188 employees. The sheriffs department is comprised of multiple divisions to deliver the constitutional and statutory services required of the office of Sheriff. The divisions consist of the Following Divisions:

  • Patrol Division
  • Detective Division
  • Jail Division
  • Civil Process/Transport
  • Communications
  • Court Security

    Chief Deputy Lauersdorf is a 1973 Graduate of Hartford Union High School and attended Fort Lewis College in Durango Colorado. Chief Deputy Lauersdorf is a graduate of Wisconsin State Patrol academy 27th recruit class. Chief Deputy Lauersdorf is a graduate of the FBI national academy 216th Class.

    Chief Deputy Lauersdorf Started his Law enforcement career in 1978 with the Wisconsin State patrol assigned to dist #5 before transferring to dist. #1 Madison in 1979. In 1980 Chief Deputy Lauersdorf was hired by the Dodge County department as a patrolman and in 1989 promoted to the Rank of Lieutenant. In 1990 Chief Deputy Lauersdorf transferred to the Jail division as the Jail Administrator which he held until being promoted to Chief Deputy in 2003.

    In 1997 Chief Deputy Lauersdorf was appointed to the special jail building committee as an adviser and coordinator of the jail transition team. The project involved assessment of long term justice facility needs as well as conceptual design, design and transition from the old linear facility into the new direct/indirect state of the art facility in 2000. Chief Deputy Lauersdorf lives in the town of Rubicon with his wife Kathy and three children Connie, Matt and Kim and is a member of St Johns Catholic Church Rubicon.
