"Mom & Dad Don't Live Together"
This free half-day class, conducted by Dodge County Family Court Counseling, is required for all parents when a new divorce is filed, or when parents who have not been to the class are referred to mediation. It is designed to help parents make better decisions for themselves and for their children.
The class covers: meanings of legal terms such as "legal custody" and "physical placement," children's developmental stages, effects of parental conflict on children, understanding your children's feelings and needs, communicating with the other parent, and techniques for co-parenting.
