Dodge County Public Health runs a Well Baby/Well Child clinic. This clinic allows children of uninsured or underinsured families to access well-child checkups that are not covered by insurance. At the clinic, a child will be physically and developmentally examined to ensure that he/she is healthy and on track for his/her age. This includes a head-to-toe exam and hearing/vision screening. A Well Child visit is also a good time for parents to ask questions regarding their child’s health, growth and development. If necessary, the child will be referred to a physician or other health professional for additional care and to establish a consistent medical provider.  This program does not replace the need for well child exams with your family healthcare provider.

Guidelines for physical and developmental screenings in this clinic are based on the Health Check protocols from the State of Wisconsin.
