Highway Committee

Highway Committee meetings are held the first and third Thursday of the month unless a special meeting needs to be called during the month.  The regular meetings begin at 9:00 a.m.  at the Highway Department office or the Airport Terminal Building.  Please call the Commissioner at (920) 386-3653 to schedule an appointment with the Committee or to verify a particular date as schedule conflicts may occur.

The next Highway Committee meeting is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010, at the Dodge County Highway Department in Juneau.  An agenda will be posted closer to the meeting date.

Any person wishing to attend a Committee meeting who requires special accommodation because of a disability, should contact the Dodge County Clerk’s Office at (920) 386-3600, at least 24 hours before the scheduled meeting time so appropriate arrangements can be made.
 

Notice of Meeting

The Dodge County Highway Department is having a Neighborhood Information meeting to present details about its proposed building project at the Juneau Highway Department site.  Members of the Dodge County Highway Committee may be in attendance.

The meeting will be held in the auditorium on the first floor of the Dodge County Office Building located at 143 E. Center Street in Juneau on March 16, 2010, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a presentation at 6:30 p.m.

Any person wishing to attend who, because of a disability, requires special accommodation, should contact the Dodge County Clerk’s Office at (920) 386-3600, at least 24 hours before the scheduled meeting time so appropriate arrangements can be made.

The Highway Committee shall consist of five (5) County Board members elected at an Organizational Meeting to serve for two years beginning as soon as elected and until  their successors are elected.  Any vacancy in the Highway Committee shall be filled by election by the County Board.

The powers and duties of the Highway Committee are as follows:

DODGE COUNTY HIGHWAY COMMISSIONER
    The Dodge County Highway Commissioner shall have the administrative powers and duties prescribed for the county highway committee as provided by Section 83.015(2)(b) of the Wisconsin Statutes (2007-08).
