AIRPORT LAND USE ZONING ORDINANCE INFORMATION Our Department has hired MSA Professional Services as our consultant planner to guide us through drafting and adopting a Land Use Overlay Zoning Code surrounding the Dodge County Airport. The ordinance is being considered to review, limit, and possibly restrict certain incompatible land uses within three miles of the airport. The ordinance will be designed to promote safety for the general public and protect the investment already made in the airport. The process started in January 2010 with initial contacts with the municipalities affected by the ordinance. Those are the City of Juneau, part of the City of Horicon, parts of the Towns of Beaver Dam, Burnett, and Hubbard, and the majority of the Town of Oak Grove. A Technical Advisory Committee will be formed to guide the creation of this ordinance. A Frequently Asked Questions brochure has been generated for interested parties. Click here to read it. There will be numerous opportunities for public input including two Public Information Meetings. Check back here often for updates and meeting schedules. The process is expected to take about one year.
