The
Dodge County Office of Emergency Management has completed putting together the Dodge
County All-Hazards Mitigation Plan, as required under
Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000-DMA2K (Public Law 106-390).
The law encourages and rewards local and state pre-disaster
planning, promotes sustainability as a strategy for disaster
resistance, and is intended to integrate state and local
planning with the aim of strengthening statewide mitigation
planning. This new approach facilitates cooperation between
state and local authorities, prompting them to work
together.
The plan was categorized into five parts in order to
address FEMA's local mitigation plan requirements. In addition, a separate
appendix of maps was also created. Click on one of the five parts or
the map appendix to view the FEMA approved Dodge County
