The Clearview Brain Injury Center, in operation since 1991 is a 30 bed, state certified, sub-acute neuro-rehabilitation program in Juneau, WI. We are located just 45 minutes northeast of Madison, WI and 10 minutes east of Beaver Dam, WI. We are the first and longest standing of only two community re-entry programs in the state of Wisconsin providing sub-acute neuro-rehabilitation to teens and adults who have experienced a brain injury. We work closely with counties throughout the state of Wisconsin in both admission and discharge. Our ultimate goal is always to help the participant return home.
The Clearview Brain Injury Center (CBIC) accommodates teens and adults who have experienced a brain injury, impairing their physical functioning and/or cognitive abilities. Our community re-integration program offers intensive, 6 days per week therapeutic outcome-focused rehabilitation utilizing an Interdisciplinary Team Treatment approach. Our program focuses on meeting the individual needs of the person through comprehensive assessment, focusing on identified expectations and outcomes. Throughout the entire program, we encourage the active participation of the person and family and strive to provide for choices of the individual served.
For persons admitted with neuro-behavioral deficits, we utilize a participant involved positive approach to encourage appropriate behaviors. Although our program is structured in nature, we promote learning new methods for appropriate use of time which assists in the transition back to the community.
In order to promote our program philosophy of a healthy lifestyle, we are a smoke-free unit.
CBIC provides therapeutic programming 6 days per week with:

The Program's focus is to achieve community placement using a participant/family centered and result oriented approach. The CBIC also implements a follow up procedure after discharge that provides the discharge site with helpful resources.
In addition, we are one of the state certified programs which provides eligibility for persons to access the Brain Injury Waiver Program offered through the State of Wisconsin.
More than 98% of CBIC participants have been discharged back into their "home" communities. While at CBIC, the participant learns to manage money, identify resources and support, access vocational and social outlets and utilize coping mechanisms to gradually prepare for community living. In combination with intense therapy and treatment, CBIC helps the participant realize recovery and eventual success in the community
